A Letter From Our Leaders

Dear Faithful,

For more than three decades, the 49ers Foundation has remained steadfast in our commitment to educate and empower Bay Area youth. This year, we are proud to share an important evolution in our mission: to educate and empower Bay Area youth and beyond by leveraging the power of football.

That single word, beyond, represents more than just a geographic expansion. It recognizes our enduring commitment to impact the lives of young people not only in the Bay Area, but also in the incredible places the 49ers and the 49ers Foundation proudly consider part of our family: the United Kingdom, Mexico, and the United Arab Emirates. These communities, united by a shared belief in the power of sports to change lives, communities, and perceptions are now part of the heartbeat of our mission.

Through 49ers EDU, 49ers Flag, 49ers PREP presented by U.S. Bank, and our invaluable community partnerships, we’ve seen firsthand how football can break down barriers, inspire confidence, and open doors to new opportunities. Whether it’s introducing STEAM learning inside our classrooms at Levi’sĀ® Stadium, leveling the playing field for girls’ flag football, or hosting free community-based programs for students around the globe, we are investing in the next generation so they can tackle what’s possible on and off the field.

This year’s Impact Report reflects the numbers - over $70 million invested in communities since 1991 - and the countless stories of determination, creativity, and growth made possible by our direct service programs, charitable partners, and your support. It’s also a testament to the power of teamwork between our staff, players, coaches, alumni, Board of Directors, corporate partners, and, most importantly, you, the Faithful.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. Together, we will continue to build a stronger Bay Area and extend our impact beyond a future where every young person has the tools, resources, and belief to achieve their dreams.

With gratitude and determination, thank you from remaining Faithful to the Next Generation.

Our Mission Remains

The 49ers Foundation harnesses football to educate and empower Bay Area youth and beyond through collective and innovative community-focused strategies.

From 49ers EDU’s award-winning STEAM education programming to the nationally recognized youth football, health and wellness programs developed by 49ers PREP presented by U.S. Bank, the 49ers Foundation’s direct service programs inspire the confidence and collaboration youth need to tackle what is possible.

Our Pillars of Work

The Numbers

The Year of Beyond

The 49ers Foundation is taking its mission across borders, fostering global connections through sport and education. From coaching clinics in Dubai, to unlocking potential with Leeds United youth, to igniting flag football passion in Mexico, our impact has reached thousands worldwide.

With the support of dedicated sponsors, we’ve grown our presence in three key international markets—Mexico, the UK, and the UAE—uniting communities, advancing STEAM education, and inspiring the next generation of athletes and innovators.

Your Impact

In 2024, the 49ers Foundation community rallied together through game day fundraisers and live events, helping us surpass ambitious goals. While the team delivered victories on the field, our supporters matched that energy with extraordinary dedication off the field. We built unforgettable experiences for our most loyal champions and honored donors by making their mark a permanent part of Levi’sĀ® Stadium.

Discover how your support drives our mission forward.

Educate

49ers EDU invites K–8 students to Levi’sĀ® Stadium for our redesigned Home & Away program, sparking curiosity and building a stronger connection to STEAM learning. We also connect with high school students through both new initiatives and long-standing programs, guiding them as they chart their path toward academic achievement and career success.

Empower

Presented by U.S. Bank, 49ers PREP inspires and develops the next generation of leaders by working with youth flag football players and high school student-athletes. Through programs such as PREP Schools and our expanding support for girls flag football, we’re breaking down barriers to make the game more inclusive and accessible for all. By providing skills, mentorship, and opportunities, 49ers PREP helps young athletes succeed on the field—and in life.

Community

Continuing to use football as a platform, 49ers Community Relations works to strengthen Bay Area communities through partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, paving the way for lasting positive change. Through hands-on service, 49ers players, alumni, ownership, and staff volunteer their time to uplift underserved youth and families, support those facing medical crises and mental health challenges, stand alongside at-risk individuals, and champion social justice efforts.
